Peace Building and Human Rights


Objective:
This workshop offers the perfect foundation to attaining the next level of learning. Through focuses in-depth of a single key topic related to peace, it will provide an excellent introduction to what can be expect to develop and achieve our training courses. A comprehensive range of interrelated topics, addressed to provide a thorough grounding in the range of tools needed to work towards achieving sustainable peace.

Content:
Can peace building and political stability exist without fundamental human rights?
Human rights violations and lack of accountability for such violations are often drivers of conflict.
Monitoring human rights, therefore, could provide early warning for social unrest.
Connecting the human rights and sustaining peace agendas offers a unique, strategic entry point to help shift from a culture of crisis management to one of prevention.
Are you an agent of change ad can you help speed up the pace of protecting and preserving your rights? Sustainable Development Goals are important tools achieving progress while respecting human rights. Entrepreneurs are key to realising the 2030 Agenda.

Method of training:
This workshop will vest participants with an introduction to skills, techniques and knowledge needed to attain new levels of competence and expertise through a demanding and dynamic learning experience. It is interactive, building on participants’ knowledge and experience. Plenary and work group discussions include conceptual input but are also based on hands-on learning methods. Tools and concepts are introduced, and case studies are examined.
